Wanted to let anyone know, who would like to see some of my work in person, that I will be showing my Ink Drawings at Neptune Coffee again all of December along side work by coworker Stephen Ateser and boss man Dan Baumfeld, however this time around I have up several all new drawings thrown into the bunch. Here is an example of one new addition that I think represents the show well :

I will also have my paintings in February at Nebab in lower Queen Anne. It's a cozy, yet good sized bar with a delicious variety of traditional and middle eastern food as well as beverages galore. It's open from 3pm to 2am everyday so come check it out, and feast with your eyes while stuffing your mouth. Have a lovely holiday season everyone!
I am pleased to announce the release of my dear friend Pepper Proud's debut album that I designed the poster for featured below!
The poster conveniently corresponds to the album cover I designed and illustrated that will be dispersed into the public that night for all that did not preorder and I cannot tell you how excited I am to see this project I put so much love into in the hands of the people. The poster is currently being hand silk screened by my dear friends at Don't Stop Printing in Olympia at the moment and will be available for sale in the next couple weeks and at the show. To get your copy, go to my shop tab on the top right of this page or come out to the show on November 27th at the beautiful Fremont Abbey. Now this building is an ex church with incredible ethereal sound quality and ambience so this show will be an experience to be had. Especially since the accompanying artists on this line up are all dear friends of mine and are unbelievably talented. Plus there is dinner involved : win win! To get tickets go to the Fremont Abbey Arts Center website and you can buy tickets straight from there. Presale is cheaper and more guarenteed so I highly suggest. See you folks there!
Check out the Ilustrations I made for IPad game Shelby's Quest, just released on the App Store!
This is the first in a series of games created by the company Doodle Therapy that makes educational tools for Occupational Therapists. By tracing, matching, pinching, dragging and following instructions, children can practice their fine motor and visual perception skills while having fun. The goal is to help Shelby the dog assist her forest friends in a series of simple games that increase in challenge, and continue to improve one's timing and precision that is monitored throughout. I was so much fun to make and such a helpful tool.
I was so glad to be brought on board this project and am now so glad to be able to share it. Look for more to come!
Also it is now featured on the App Store! That's how awesome it is. Apple said so themselves.
This month I will be showing my ink pieces at my most local coffee shop, Cafe Bambino on 65th and 3rd in the Phinney/Ballard convergence zone we like to call Stumbletown. Apparently this has something to do with the amount of bars situated here currently and historically, but the story is told multiple ways so not sure what to believe. What I do know for sure is this cafe is visited and tended by some of the friendliest folks Seattle has to offer, so stop by, chat, get some coffee and check out the inks. There is a new character in the midst and a display props facelift so come see! Phinneywood Art walk show is Friday June 5th from 5 to 9 so join me there for some wine, cheese an art talk if you wish. See you there!
This month my paintings will be in classy company amongst the stylish furnishings and antiques at All Aboard 2nd Hand on 3rd and 65th on the border of Phinney and Ballard. This is the sister shop of Cafe Bambino situated diagonally across the street, where my ink prints will be all June. Come see, check out the beautiful and conveniently affordable wares Andhi and Gretchen have collected and get some coffee from the lovely friendly Bambino baristas. This is my neighborhood so maybe you'll run into me. See you there.
"Disracted" Oil on Canvas
"Bay Area Cowboy" Oil on Canvas (left) & "Being Forward" Oil on Canvas (right).
So it seems I have gotten out of the habit of posting my shows, but it has become my Spring resolution to correct this so I want to inform you all that my ink art is currently at the lovely Neptune Coffee on Greenwood Ave and 85th.
You may also find me here on any given day, either fully engrossed in laptop world, distracting myself by prodding the baristas into conversation, or serving drinks from behind the counter myself as an occassional barista. If this is the case that you do find me here doing any of these things, feel free to strike up a conversation or look through the prints that I have in a basket on the counter. I would love to see you there. All prints of the ink art are $5, and prints of some of my paintings are available as well for $5 to $10. The ink art themselves will be at the shop till July 2012 and the prints will be around for as long as I'm around so stop by anytime. See you there!
